On Tuesday, November 2nd HSST was visited by the second graders of Stillwater Township School! The mini-field trip to the museum coincided with the children learning about how technology and our community have changed over the years.
Members Barbara Burton, Shelly Vosper and Stacy Harvey were on hand to facilitate the tour. Barbara discussed the changes in forms of communications, appliances and shopping. She also gave the 2nd graders a demonstration of the phonograph.
Shelly talked with the kids about the indigenous people of the area. The kids were able to handle some of the Native American artifacts.
Stacy quizzed the kids on what they thought some of the museum objects were. Their guesses were great! There were so many wonderful questions asked and it’s safe to say that the adults had as much fun as the kids did!
