The Historical Society of Stillwater Township presents “A Yule Time Stroll” celebrating the magical season of Christmas in an old fashioned, home spun way involving our community, our patrons, our vendors and our guests.
This event, to be held in Historic Stillwater Township Sunday December 17th from 11am to 5pm. We hope to will take you “BACK IN TIME” as you stroll up and down the Village Center. Wagon rides will fill the street throughout the day and you will be able to fill your senses with the sights and sounds of Christmas, up and down Main. Village homes and businesses will be decorated in historic charm. George Garriss of the “Old General Store” will guide you as you stroll and meet many dressed in era clothing welcoming you with a warm smile and a possibly a song!
The “Academy” museum will be open for tours, Christmas stories and tales spoken, while Christmas Penny and Nickel candy, gum drops and lollipops, will be displayed for children and families to purchase. How sweet!
The Church is truly a beautiful site to see. Don’t miss it! The Church will be open with musical performances: choirs, carolers, bell ringers and instrumentals. Singing and ringing! It will house vendors, selling their crafts, wares and goods.
Festive brew will pour and special foods prepared. Warming stations will be set up for warming your hands and The Spirit of Season all around you to warm your heart.
Of course, Santa will visit! He will take your letters to the North Pole when he travels home, so don’t forget to bring them!
Finally, we will celebrate the day with a countdown, 3-2-1… As we light up Main!
Village tree lighting will be held early evening wishing everyone a Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
