Amanda Lo has been awarded the 2024 Historical Society of Stillwater Township scholarship. The award was created to recognize a graduating senior who has excelled in the study of history. Amanda was selected by the staff of KRHS and the scholarship of $500 was presented at KRHS Senior Awards program on Tuesday, June 4.

Amanda plans to study history as she continues her education at Smith College this fall. She selected Smith because they offered her the opportunities to part of a program that offers her a paid research position and focus on interdisciplinary studies.

Growing up in Fredon, Amanda was introduced to HSST on a recent visit to the Academy. She enjoyed learning more about our artifacts from centuries past and was also able to meet some of our officers and members. She enjoyed our collection of artifacts from centuries past observed how organizations such as HSST can be a force in building stronger communities.
